Addressing Divorce and Blended Families in Play Therapy

There are many challenges associated when families experience a DIVORCE or attempt to merge two families together into a BLENDED FAMILY.

It is quite common for play therapists to find themselves in the middle of it all and emerging as the “HELPER” for the child that is adjusting and learning to navigate new territory.

We’ll be discussing the role of the play therapist in identifying BEHAVIORS associated to the child’s adjustment and talk about how to best set GOALS for the child. We will also take time to learn and practice effective INTERVENTIONS that safely allow a child to explore their new experiences and express their THOUGHTS and FEELINGS in the PLAYROOM.

Register today and learn how to best support this special population!
